My District and Companion Soeur Judd

First Week in the MTC

OH MY GOODNESS. OH MY GOODNESS. OH MY GOODNESS.

My heart is SO full it feels like it is going to pop straight out of my chest.

KENZIE YOU GOT INTO BYU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been thinking about it SO much this week and I absolutely freaked out when I read your letter!!! I was dancing and screaming up and down the residence hall when I read it!! Everyone in my district says congrats!! They all think you are so precious and I have had about a million of the Elders tell me to tell you to write them. Haha. You're a gem.

Thank you Mom, Dad, and Aubs for your letters. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH! Letters are gold.

LO!!!! You get here this week!!! A) you have NOTHING to worry about. I danced my way right in (and I was like owwwwwwww) and a smile hasn't left my face since then. This is the best place to be and the best time to be here! B) We will FOR SURE see eachother. I've seen everyone I know in here already. But just in case, I live in 3M and have class in 8M and my p-day is on Tuesday! FIND ME. I have already warned my companion about how embarrassing it will be for her when we see eachother and cause a SCENE. Love it. C) GO KISS YOUR ENGLISH MISSION CALL RIGHT NOW. You too Rinners.

Rins!!! I heard your talk was great! Can't wait to see you too!!! Ahhhhh. So much excitement in the WOOMER FAMILY!!! Made my day!

Okay so,

I LOVE THE MTC. I was so nervous because I've heard that it is a hard adjustment, but it has been SO EASY. I think that is due to the fact that my companion and district are AMAZING. Seriously. My companion's name is Soeur Judd. She is from Draper UT. SHE IS PRECIOUS. We both have an undying love for DDP, the Bachelor, and movie quotes. I was so glad I didn't end up with someone who thought I was a sinner for loving those things. Don't worry though we follow the rules! We are really trying to be exactly obediant because I know that I need every single blessing the Lord can offer me in order to learn this language. Soeur Judd took French for like 7 YEARS before coming here, so she is really good and helps me so much. When we taught our first lesson I just sat there and smiled and said oui! And then I said,  "through faith I can feel the spirit", but when we got our Soeur Judd told me that I had actually said "through the Sprit we can touch the liver". Ohhhhhhhhhhh so that's why the investigator made that face.... great.

Honestly the language is so hard, but I am loving it!!! I know KNOW KNOWWWWWWW that I am not learning this language by myself. I have been so blessed and enabled already to speak. At this point, I can understand everything our investigator is saying...and I can respond, I just probably sound like a caveman. Haha.

So mom, you asked about food and workout time. hahahah. why am I not suprised?! The food is Canon center food, so It's nothing I haven't had before. GYM TIME IS THE BEST TIME. I love it. My whole district loves to run!!! Such a tender mercy!! Everyone is really determined to eat well and stay in shape. Just another reason why I KNOW I was put with them for a reason! :)

BTW, I love my district so much. We are all BFF's already. Mostly everyone is from UT, but we have one kid from Canada who graduated high school early to go on his mission! He is only 1 month older than KENZIE. hahaha. I feel so old.

Okay AHHHHH I have so much I want to tell you, but I just don't have enough TIME!!!

OH YEAH!!!! I'm GOING TO SAN FRANSISCO TOMORROW!!!!! In order to get a visa for France you have to make an in person appearance at the consulate!!!! How crazy is that! So basically we have to wake up tomorrow at 5:00AM and get on an airplane then go to the consulate, THEN they let us go get lunch and take 2 hours to TEACH PEOPLE ON THE STREETS! I am so so so so sooooooo excited. Literally the best suprise of my life. I love that city. Lo and Mikey, I will be thinking of both of you!!!

EVERYONE. The gospel is true. The spirit is real and if you live your life worthy you will ALWAYS have it with you. I have had the amazing experience to have this the whole week and I can testify that I have never been happier in MY WHOLE LIFE. I know that I am supposed to be on this mission at this time, to this place for a reason!!! I have never been more aware of how much God loves all of us, his children!
OK. I kinda need you to send me a lot of things:
1) PLEASE DDP. PLEASEEEEEEEEEE. worth a shot.
2) I really need a blanket. I have woken up EVERY single night here freezing cause they give you like a scrap of fabric to sleep with.
3) A sweatshirt. I didn't bring one which was really stupid cause for cleaning time and p-day that would be the best thing EVER.
4) DDP. No really please I'm begging you.
5) Please send me dear elders of all of the missionaries who are out in the field! I don't have time to read them off of email! So just copy and paste and we will be good to go.

OKAY LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!! Keep the faith!

LOVE,
Soeur Johns

P.S. Brooke THANK you and keep it up. YOU know why! :)
